Our vision is for all Jersey City adults to have a high level of literacy which will enable them to:
▀ access needed information: ▀ take independent action; ▀ express ideas and opinions; ▀ keep up with our changing world, and ▀ exercise rights and responsibilities as family members, workers, and community members.
Underlying the school's commitment to its Vision Statement are the following beliefs:
▀ That learning is lifelong and life building and that the school's responsibility is to provide an arena of opportunity for learning for all of its students; ▀ That in providing opportunity for learning the school must be culturally responsive and sensitive, as well as flexible, in meeting the needs of a changing multi-ethnic, multi-cultural learning community; ▀ That every person can learn and that it is essential that the school provide a positive safe environment for learning to take place; ▀ That the school offers a curriculum designed for valid scholarship that reflects best instructional practices and effective and appropriate use of technology;and ▀ That the school must play a pivotal role in developing school/community partnerships that can enhance learning and ensure success for students in school, in the workplace, and in the community as a whole.
