The Jersey City Adult Education Program partners with the Jersey City SETC programs to offer One-Stop services to all of the adult education program enrollees. New Jersey's One Stop Career Center (OSC) System is predicated on the holistic principle of putting the "customer first."
Designed to fundamentally change the way workforce services are delivered, the One Stop Career Centers fully integrate all workforce programs and services (unemployment, job training, job search assistance, etc.) available at the state and local levels as if they were a single entity. This means that the delivery of workforce investment services must be adapted to the needs of its customers, rather than to those of the agencies that deliver services.
Vocational, career exploration and job placement services are available for all of our students at the One Stop Career Centers located at:
- 438 Summit Ave. Jersey City
- 121-125 Newark Ave. Jersey City
Career exploration services are designed to assist participants in examining personal aptitudes, identifying vocational training programs, colleges and other sources of continuing education. Additionally, counseling and job placement assistance is made available to any adult needing these services.
