The link to Pre-K Registration online portal will open on March 1st 2024.
If you register by March 31st and the number of students registered exceeds the number of slots at your home school, the registered children will be entered into a lottery. Your child will be offered a placement at another public school location based on the lottery results. Transportation will be provided.

Important: The Pre-K Online Registration Portal is now open for 2023-24 and the new 2024-25 will open on March 1, 2024. Please note that registration will remain open beyond March 31, 2024. However, we strongly encourage registration by March 31st.

You can complete and submit registration on any mobile device or laptop or desktop computer. If you are having trouble submitting from a mobile device make sure to use a laptop or desktop computer. You can also go to your local free Jersey City Public Library to submit the online registration.
No Homeschool for your address?
Check the Attendance Zone to see the homeschool for your address.
If in the online portal, you do not see your homeschool and unable to continue registration, please contact the Early Childhood Department by calling 201-915-6078 or emailing [email protected] .
Remember Pre-K3 is offered only at the following public schools
P.S. #3, #5, #16/Danforth, #23, #24, #33, #37, and #39. If your homeschool is not any of this then for Pre-K3 you have to contact the Childcare Centers.
