The new Frank R. Conwell No. 3 Elementary School and Frank R. Conwell No. 4 Middle School are dominating the skyline in a most impressive fashion in the area of Grand and Monmouth Streets.

The old P.S. No. 3 was a K-8 elementary school located in the Van Vorst Park Historic District and in the Hudson River Waterfront area of “Downtown” Jersey City. Built in 1909, the building is 95 years old and long overdue for replacement.
