As a Division of the Jersey City Public School district, the Communications & Media Department is a channel for continuous two-way communication between the school district and the Jersey City community. The Department is designed to provide a means for the public to receive timely, accurate information about the Jersey City Public Schools and for the District to hear the concerns of the community. The role of Communications & Media is to support the school community, the parent, the teacher and the student. |

- Tuesday, 5/6 - National Teachers' and Nurses' Day
- Tuesday, 5/13 - SMART Start Training for New Substitutes, through 5/15
- Wednesday, 5/14 - "Superintendent's FACEOFF", Schools closed, Teachers report
- Friday, 5/16 - Interim Progress Reports Distributed
- Friday, 5/16 - Training for All Newly Hired Instructional Staff, through 5/23
- Saturday, 5/17 - Teacher Academy/Support Institute, Session 5
- Thursday, 5/22 - Board of Education Meeting, PS #11, 6 p.m.
- Friday, 5/23 - 4 hour session for schools
- Monday, 5/26 - Memorial Day Observance, District closed
