Thank you for visiting the Jersey City Public Schools Mathematics Department website. It is our hope that this website will be more means for parents, students, community members, and visitors to learn about our math Department. This site will provide the latest information on events, programs, and activities within our school community.
The mission of the Mathematics Department of the Jersey City Public School District is to design and enforce the use of curricula, programs and initiatives based on the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards (NJCCCS) that best serve our students. We aspir to provide the support, address the needs and motivate our teachers to prepare our diverse student population to be productive and contributing members of their community. We endeavor to inculcate in our students a creative, investigative and analytical desire to become problem solvers and critical thinkers. Our goal is to instruct and motivate each and every student to use the power, baeuty, and utility of mathematics and computer science to successfully impact their community and prepare tem for their future endeavors.

The principal goals are to develop all students into lifelong learners, complex problem solvers, and logical and critical thinkers.
