Related Consequences of Absences
Students who are ineligible for course credit in any semester/marking period as a result of absences will also be immediately ineligible to participate in:
- Extracurricular activities (may be for the remainder of the year)
- Interscholastic Athletics (at minimum, for the remainder of the season and in accordance with additional NJSIAA eligibility rules)
- District Scholarship Programs
- District Magnet Programs (9th, 10th, 11th graders may be returned to home school at end of semesters)
- Cooperative Education Programs (off-site work component may be substituted with in-school classroom courses).
The Attendance Appeal Review Committee will make a determination as to eligibility status for the remainder of the current semester and for subsequent semester (not withstanding NJSIAA eligibility rules for athletic competition).
