Documented Absences
Field Trips, school related activities, court orders, religious observances approved by the Commissioner of Education, and medical notes are accepted as documented absences. Notes written by parents/guardians are NOT accepted forms of documentation; however, they are indicators of parental awareness of child's absence and are encouraged.
