Frank R. Conwell Middle School #4 |
The major components of the Frank R. Conwell Middle School are the Small Learning Communities focusing on total integration of staff and students from three sending schools, P.S. #3, P.S. #9 and P.S. #22. Each of the three Small Learning communities consists of a sixth grade, seventh grade and an eighth grade team. Staff and students are equally divided among the three learning communities. |
Inclusive Learning Environment |
The concept of an inclusive learning environment is based on the Secondary School Initiative Model. The promotion policy will mirror that which presently exists at the Secondary Level. Students will be able to complete coursework meeting 8th grade criteria in order to document the potential ability to move onto high school. |
