Other Technology
A Tightrope Media Systems bulletin board system controlled by computer and displayed daily through flat panel television monitors mounted in the hallways is used to:
• Improve communication through the posting of important notices
• Acknowledge achievement through the posting of student accomplishments
• Inspire staff and students through daily inspirational quotations

Ceiling mounted LCD projectors in each classroom provide teacher with the opportunity to:
• Project the bulletin board messages (discussed above) in the classroom
• project material pre-recorded on DVD or VCR
• project televised broadcasts from 6 available channels (CNN Headline News, The Learning Channel, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, News 12 New Jersey, and PBS)
• project software images, documents, and internet content from the teacher’s computer
This system is being used by teachers to more effectively engage students by: including internet resources in daily lessons, projecting documents and images that support the lesson, using televised resources to supplement lessons. It also allows students to use presentation software for class projects and easily present their project to the class.

Rear Projection SmartBoards with on board computers, provide a visual interactive learning experience in a way that is easily mobile and therefore available to any teacher here. While these boards are primarily to provide teachers without ceiling mounted LCD projectors the opportunity to project lessons from a computer, they can be used by any teacher who signs up for them.

Technology Training
Provided by the Technology Coordinator focusing in areas of need, training sessions are conducted formally in the mornings and informally as the need arises. Training provides the classroom teacher with tools for integrating the use of technology into their curriculum.

Web Site
This year we have expanded our site to over 170 pages. Each computer in the school has its home page set to the P.S. Twenty site. Students, Teachers and Administrators are all continually involved in contributing to the site. Each grade level has a home link. Student work, Program descriptions, and a section we call Student life where you can view many activities including homework and examples of student work can be found. Students are actively involved in developing the site. Our site is used as a motivational tool for our students to view their class activities and work online.
