Some students said they were scared while others said they were just excited to finally get a chance to explore the new building and see what it had to offer. The cafeteria is amazing and we loved the A La Carte menu, but what most people wanted to see was the auditorium. This is a splendid facility with a large stage and comfortable seats. This room is a great improvement over our old school buildings. We were also very happy to see lockers and lucky for us the school has air conditioning. Personally, I was stunned when I saw the Science labs and the Applied Technology room. Although the Library/Media center still needs to put all the books on the shelves to be open for business, it’s going to be an impressive place to study. The gym is huge and many of us could not wait to start using it. Our new school has Band, Chorus, Art and Life skills rooms. There are Guidance Counselors on each floor so if you have any problems with high school applications or anything else you can talk to them, they are here to help. On the outside of the school we saw basketball courts, a baseball field and large grass area that can be used for almost any outdoor activity. The year has just started and there are already many activities to get involved in. This is one of the most beautiful schools anywhere and we are all very excited about what we have seen and the coming year. All in all it was a great first day and proved to more than most of us expected.
