Welcome to Public School Number Twenty. It is my great pleasure and honor to be your Principal in this great and historical institution of learning. Thank you for the privilege of serving your children.
Our goals continue to center on a strong philosophy that serves the needs of each child as a whole. We mold leaders and lifelong learners with instruction that fully develops the student's physical, cognitive, psychological, language, social, and ethical pathways. The Jersey City Model: Building a Community of Learners, under the leadership of our Superintendent, Dr. Epps, as our own model, is our focus for systemic change. We are ensuring that every stakeholder is fully accountable in this process, assessing all of the priority areas and linking change to data-driven decisions.
We want our larger community, and particularly our parents, to be close partners in our children’s education. We intend to make this site another bridge of communication to make you an integral part of our efforts to create a warm, hospitable place of learning; building relationships in and out of the classroom environment that give each member of our extended family a strong sense of belonging, a feeling of being a genuine part of the educational process. We encourage you to visit the school often, become a part of our Parent Team and the Parent Teacher Association; and when you cannot make it to school, visit this website instead to keep abreast of activities and upcoming events.
Our staff is fully committed and dedicated to make these most fundamental years in the lives of our young the fabric of many lasting memories. It is up to all of us to take this most unique opportunity to make a difference in the upcoming generations and make this world a better place.
We strongly believe that if given equal opportunities in an atmosphere of high expectations, every child will succeed. We can make this happen together, as one, now and in the future.
