An Educational Vision for the Future
Vision Statement
Alfred E. Zampella School has a proud tradition of excellence and solid achievement. Our motto is, “We strive for excellence.” This excellence, on each student’s learning level, is sought daily by addressing the needs of the total child. We strive to develop literate, lifelong learners, who are responsible and involved citizens.

Alfred E. Zampella School has implemented programs and activities that will prepare our students for this new millennium’s competitive workplace. Our dedicated, caring, and concerned faculty has high expectations for all students, with objectives culled from careful test analyses, informal assessments, and daily observations. As we fulfill our vision, all students will be meeting the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and will be able to read on grade level by the end of third grade.

Our Co-nect Design Team and Committees are active and have met their annual goals. We will continue to maintain committees as needed in the future. We will also maintain the positions of Co-nect Facilitator, Technology Coordinator, Reading Recovery Teachers, Reading Specialist, and Guidance Counselors. Alfred E. Zampella School’s educational technology initiative has grown by leaps and bounds, enriching and extending teaching and learning.

New state of the art computers have been installed in our classrooms, media center and computer lab. We plan to continue to close the achievement gap between general education students and special needs students by continuing our full inclusion program. We will continue to offer character education through the guidance counselors, and we will continue to infuse technology throughout the curriculum with the help of our Technology Coordinator, and the current Whole School Reform Facilitator. We will continue to use project-based learning, and our principal will continue to be a strong leader for our school.
