BRIDGING THE GAP IN ESL

Building Bridges
Our wonderfully creative English as a Second Language Teacher, Gaetano Introna, has been working diligently with his students in ESL literally and figuratively building bridges to help master the English Language. With Mr. Introna’s guidance the children constructed a variety of bridges. The beautiful display is exhibited on the third floor of Infante School and the children are very proud of their endeavors. They will happily share in beautiful English their story of building their bridges. Everyone is always welcome at Infante School to view the exhibit.
ONE HUNDRED YEARS AND GROWING

Grace Emily Coe
The Anthony J. Infante School had a magnificent celebration for our centennial. The theme was "One Hundred Years and Growing." The guest of honor was Miss Grace Emily Coe. Miss Coe is 98 years old and the oldest living former student of P.S. 31. Our special guest traveled all the way from Toronto with her niece and grand nephew to attend our celebratory activities. The children sang Let Me Call You Sweetheart and School Days in honor of Miss Coe. Miss Coe was very pleased and sang along with the children. In the spirit of the one hundredth anniversary of Public School 31 Miss Coe's family made a donation to our most improved reader. Laura Guerrera received $100.00 for her efforts and the audience loudly applauded. As usual, The Infante School celebrated in grand style.HOOL KICKS OFF THE HOLIDAY SEASONal tree lighting. Everyone gathered in the front hall and Ms. Dispoto, our music teacher, led the group in song. It was lively and festive and there were lots of oohs and aahs as the tree was lighted. The school shared a beautiful 15 minutes of holiday spirit.
