HighScope Young children are highly motivated to help themselves. They will learn to be a member of a group. They are encouraged to explore questions, manipulate and interact freely through the day and experiment with varied materials and ideas.
The children will develop an awareness and a sensitivity toward others at home, at school and in the community. Art, movement and dramatic play are used by the children to represent and understand their world. Young children need to express themselves freely. It is essential for physical and mental well being. |
