HighScope
Young children are highly motivated to help themselves. They will learn to be a member of a group. They are encouraged to explore questions, manipulate and interact freely through the day and experiment with varied materials and ideas.

The children will develop an awareness and a sensitivity toward others at home, at school and in the community. Art, movement and dramatic play are used by the children to represent and understand their world. Young children need to express themselves freely. It is essential for physical and mental well being.

Breakthrough to Literacy
The Infante School provides high quality learning opportunities for academic, social and emotional growth in a safe environment. Children will develop their minds through exploration and experience in a fun atmosphere. Children are empowered with skills for continued success in school. Our main focus is literacy.

There is a partnership between parents, teachers and students to further academic success. Children work independently, in cooperative groups and together as one class. Teaching methodology utilizes an approach which focuses on multiple intelligences. Students are taught using visual, auditory and kinestic models.

Co-nect
The Infant School participated in two Project Fairs. The first fair was held in the fall. The themes were aligned with the curriculum according to grade levels. The driving questions were answered in a creative, investigative manner.

The second Project Fair was held in the Spring. The theme was THEN AND NOW. It was a huge success.
SAVE THE TIGER
Rooms 21 and 22 initiated a special project that pleased everyone. They adopted a Siberian Tiger. His name is Feyda. The students were thrilled with their adopted tiger and it proved to be a great learning experience.
