Vision Statement
Public School Thirty-Four vision; all students will meet the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards and will be able to read by the end of the third grade. Students will learn in context and meaningful ways through hands-on, literature-based strategies, and real world experiences. Teachers will reach out to meet the diverse needs of students through a variety of strategies, such as integrated thematic instruction, flexible grouping, and effective and regular assessment. All students will feel safe, physically and emotionally. All students will be encouraged to do the best they can, learning from mistakes and successes. Teachers will work together, communicate often about students' learning, and implement a continuum of learning that makes sense for all students."
