OUR ADMINISTRATION
Jaime Morales, Principal

Jaime Morales began his teaching career at Abraham Lincoln High School, and from there he went to PS# 11, PS# 27 and William L. Dickinson High School to assist with the development of the newly created Applied Technology magnet program. In December 2000, he was appointed Vice Principal in charge of scheduling, and later on the Freshman Academy of Lincoln High School. In December 2007, Mr. Morales was named Principal of James J. Ferris High School, where he was also an alumnus, having graduated from the high school in 1985.
Frank Skowronski, Vice Principal
Frank Skowronski began his teaching career at Henry Snyder High School where he served as an Industrial Arts teacher. He then moved onto William L. Dickinson High School where he became the Coordinator for the Applied Technology, Business, and Family & Consumer Science Departments. He also served as the school’s bowling coach. Mr. Skowronski has served 31 years in the district and in April 2008, he was appointed to the Vice Principal position at James J. Ferris High School and is involved in the Management and Office Procedures & Marketing SLC.
Gloria Walker, Vice Principal
Gloria Walker began her teaching career at the Adult Education Center and later was assigned to PS 23 and PS 41. Mrs. Walker then made a decision to move to the high school environment where she served as a health and physical education teacher at Lincoln High School. She remained there for ten years also serving in the capacity as department coordinator. Gloria Walker moved onto Dickinson High School where she taught Health for four years until she was appointed as the Vice Principal in charge of scheduling. Mrs. Walker then was assigned to the Educational Leadership Team at Snyder High School. She is currently serving as the Vice Principal in charge of budgeting and program development at James J. Ferris High School and is involved in the Hospitality SLC.
Gary Gentile, Vice Principal
Gary Gentile began his teaching career at William L. Dickinson High School serving as an English Teacher while coaching baseball at Ferris High School and basketball at McNair Academic High School. He also served in the capacity as a Mentor Counselor of the Fifteen Together Program. In February 2006, he was appointed to the position of High School Language Arts Supervisor. In October 2007, he was appointed Acting Principal at Liberty High School. In February 2008, he was appointed to the Vice Principal at James J. Ferris High School as the Vice Principal in charge of testing and involved in the Business and Finance SLC.
Myrta Melendez-Escotto, Vice Principal
Myrta Melendez-Escotto began her teaching career as a bilingual health teacher shared between James J. Ferris High School and William L Dickinson High School. She served as the boys’ bowling coach during her short tenure at William L. Dickinson High School and continued coaching following her move to her permanent position at James J. Ferris High School. In 2000 she was appointed as Crisis Intervention Teacher for attendance, and in 2002 to the position of teacher assigned to the principal. She also served as the boys’ bowling coach at James J. Ferris High School.
In September 2007, she was appointed as Vice Principal in charge of scheduling at James J. Ferris High School, where she was also an alumnus, having graduated from the high school in 1972. She is also involved in the International Studies SLC.
