Our Activities
Earth Day activities at Ezra L. Nolan Middle School included students working with New Forest Institute which is based in Maine. They helped the students plant a vegetable garden. The students involved with ASPIRA planted a weeping cherry tree and flowers. Our school looks like Spring with all beautiful displays of color.
"Spring Fling" at PS #30
The 6th grade student council and several staff members of Ezra L. Nolan Middle School headed over to Alexander D. Sullivan School on Thursday, April 9 to treat the preschoolers to a morning filled with "fun" Spring activities. The event was organized by Ann Santilli, the Inclusion Specialist, with the assistance of Rosemary Feminello, Deborah Halaburda, Art Specialist, and Marilyn Carpena. The students made yellow duckies, had their faces painted, listened to a Spring story, were given goodie bags, and enjoyed a visit with the Spring Bunny aka John Diaz, 6th grade Bilingual teacher. The "Spring Fling" was a huge success, which was evident by the smiling faces of the preschoolers and teachers who participated in the event.
7th Grade Students Are Now C.P.R. Trained!!!!!
At the Ezra L. Nolan Middle School, 7th grade students learned how to save a life by performing C.P.R. on their very own personal manikins. They were instructed by Jersey City Medical Center representatives in the M.S. 40 gym. Students will be able to use their personal manikins to teach their families at home on what to do in case of a medical emergency. The students did a fantastic job and took it seriously when they were doing chest compressions and administering breaths.
Our Toy Drive
The eighth grade students of Ezra L. Nolan Middle School donated toys to children who attend P.S. #30 and P.S. #20.. Students held fundraisers to which the staff and students contributed and used the proceeds to purchase toys that Santa’s elves delivered.
