Community Service Learning

 

Community Service Learning is an educational strategy used to bridge the educational component of learning to real life, meaningful experience. Community Service Learning enriches student learning of curriculum by bringing “life to books.” It engages students in active learning that demonstrates the relevance and the importance of academic studies for their life and career choices. The students gain a sense of accomplishment and pride in themselves, their school, and their community. These projects foster personal, academic, and social growth supporting a comprehensive Developmental Guidance Curriculum.
