Special Guests visit Alexander D. Sullivan to celebrate Black History month

PS 30 kicked off Black History Month by inviting Curt Harris to be a guest reader in their 2nd grade classrooms. During the classroom visits, Mr. Harris read a story about how Katherine Johnson saved Apollo 13.

Mr. Harris was our 2019 Principal for the Day, and is the Board President of the Jersey City Free Public Library. He is also the Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of Lendlease

Pre-K students and staff were thrilled to welcome Dr. Ruth Cummings-Hypolite to their Pre-K classrooms for a read aloud in honor of Black History Month.

Kindergarten classrooms welcomed Ward A Councilwoman Denise Ridley  as a guest reader in honor of Black History Month.
