Affirmative Action Office
The Jersey City Public School District prohibits all forms of discrimination and illegal harassment against students and staff based upon race, creed, color, national origin, nationality, ancestry, age, sex (including pregnancy), familial status, marital status, domestic partnership status, affectional or sexual orientation, atypical hereditary cellular or blood trait, genetic information, liability for military service, and mental or physical disability, perceived disability, and AIDS and HIV status.
The Affirmative Action Office, in conjunction with the Legal Department and Human Resources, ensures that our classrooms and workplaces are free from discrimination and illegal harassment. The Affirmative Action team duties include investigating alleged discriminatory conduct and promoting the principles of inclusion, diversity, and equal employment opportunity.
