Substance Abuse Counselors (SACs)

The Department of Students Life and Personnel Services is equipped with a team of highly trained Substance Abuse Coordinators and Character Education Coordinators. These staff members are committed to conducting on-going professional development for the in-school coordinators and teachers. SACs stay abreast of current intervention approaches and programs, which they recommend for implementation to students in need throughout the district.

Service Brokers

Each high school in the district has a Service Broker to assist families with outside services. All service brokers are Social Workers and have expertise in identifying the proper outside agency for families or students living on their own. As cases in the school are referred to them, they assess the situation and determine proper procedure.
